The quilt show committee chairperson coordinates all of the subcommittees for the biennial quilt show making sure that everything is organized and on time. The subcommittees include: Appraisals, Auction, Awards, Basket Raffle, Boutique, Demonstrations, Door Prizes, Enhancements, Fashion Display, Food Vendor, Hand Quilting, Judges, Labels, Preview Party, Programs, Publicity, Quilt Challenge, Registration, Set up/Take down, Vendors, Web News, and Workers. New committees may be added as deemed necessary.
Tasks include holding quilt show committee meetings, making phone calls, writing emails, and informing the guild as to the progress of the show through the newsletter and at guild meetings. Many of the committees coordinate their efforts and the quilt show chair presides over this as well.
