Hello all, Mary Ellen here.
Yesterday was our first sale and raffle of sunflower projects for our Ukraine relief effort. Thank you to our volunteers who manned the sale table: Theresa Utz, Annette Meyer-Grunow, Rebecca Ribis and Jean Nicholson. We made $231.00 yesterday! A great beginning I think. We raffled off 3 projects and one winner returned her prize to us to raffle again (Theresa Utz won the table topper made by Mary Carroll LOL!). We have several more completed projects to use in our next raffle–folks seemed to like the idea of a variety of prizes to be won. The plans are for a minimum or 3 more raffles throughout the museum season–we can add more dependent on our productivity and success in sales of tickets at the museum events.
Don’t forget about our work session this Thursday, March 31 from 10:00 – 2:00. The museum does not open until 10:00 so no sense coming really early. Completed blocks and/or projects can be dropped off during that time, fabrics can be picked up from our collection to give you a more scrappy variety if desired, or you can use the time to work on your chosen task. If you do not wish to sew, help with cutting, pressing, etc is always welcome.

So glad it went well! Makes our work worthwhile!
That’s wonderful. Thank you Mary Ellen
It was a fun day. Never expected to see that many people at the Maple festival. Thank you for choosing my number to win the second prize, but because I have one similar, I re- Donated it to raffle off Again at a future event. I am more than willing to help out at the next event, and I will see you Thursday Work session for the Ukrainians.
