very sad news

Hello all, Mary Ellen here.
I have terribly sad news to share today. Our much beloved Jackie Groszkowski, past president of our guild, died last evening from COVID. She had been in the hospital for a bit. I do not have any details to share; will do so as I learn any.

I’m sure all of us who knew her have memories of her caring ways, her hearty laugh, and will greatly miss her. Send up a prayer for Jackie and her family. We have lost a precious soul.

Jackie was probably one of my best friends. I loved her. The last time we were supposed to be together was for lunch about three weeks ago. She ended up at Millard suburban for about a week and then was put in ICU where she stayed until she died. She will be cremated as per her request. No further information is available at this time. We will make it available when we know anything more. Please keep Jackie and her family in your prayers. And give your own loved ones a big hug and kiss. Because you never know.

      Dear Theresa,

Was wonderful to read your tribute to Jackie. She was my best friend, too. I’m still in shock, but recognized your name as she was always speaking of you. It’s difficult as I’m in Sarasota and unable to get back to Buffalo as have only had one of my shots. My daughters nixed that. Thanks again for your wonderful words. I really recognized Jackie in them. Pat Rabin

It’s been a sad weekend. I keep thinking over the years I’ve been fortunate to have known and loved this wonderful woman. So many adjectives I could use to describe her.Everyone has already used most of them. As I read over the thoughts of her friends I can only repeat how loving, kind and thoughtful she was to all around her. Our lives will be a little diminished without her sunshine and laughter. I know mine will.

  18. Martha J. Eddy says:

Jackie was the heart and soul of our guild. She will be greatly missed.
