holiday shopping

Hello all, Mary Ellen here.

I’m trying to do as much of my holiday shopping online as I can this year. How about you? I just bought a bunch of gift cards to Home Depot on line for the guys on my list. I don’t think the website was very user friendly, but it still was faster, easier and safer than a trek to a local Home Depot.

This website, Just Get It Done Quilts, has a nice list of gift ideas for quilters. You could have a friend or family member watch the video to get ideas for you, or maybe you’ll get inspiration for gifts that you need to buy. She also has included a link to her list from 2019–so you’ll get 20 good suggestions for gifts specifically for quilters. Click here to watch.

Still collecting comments heading toward our prize drawing on the 17th.

Do you have any handmade gifts underway but not yet finished? No hurry, Christmas is almost a month away! Quilters often are working under pressure much closer to the holiday than this! Has anyone been stitching like mad on Christmas Eve or morning?

I love the Just Get it Done video. My favorite items were the planners and the puzzle with the quilt blocks. I may have to ask Santa for that one. I am busily trying to finishing all my undone Christmas projects. I have about 5 left to go and then I want to finish some placemats for winter, too. My list is super long, but since we are quarantined, I have time to do these.

Thanks for the link to Just Get It Done. I need to get a gift for a quilting friend and saw exactly what she can really use. I can’t say what it is because she always reads your blog and comments. I know she’ll like the gift. Thanks again for helping me with the idea.

I am not sewing due to limited space (granddaughter moved in) but I am crafting with paper to make gifts. We are having fun getting into the holiday spirit!

I just ordered a present for myself. I’ll even wrap it and place it under the tree. What a surprise!
