taking a break

Hello all, Mary Ellen here.

How many more times will we be raking the leaves, do you think? The trees surrounding my yard are pretty much empty of their leaves, but the neighbors across the street have a lot of leaves left on theirs. Unfortunately their leaves end up in MY yard many times. I’m taking a break from raking!

What are you doing for Thanksgiving this year? It’s really hard to plan isn’t it? In case you would like some easy autumn  projects for yourself, or to give to friends and family, here is a free pattern for a cute acorn potholder. Click here.

And here’s a cute turkey potholder. This one’s not free, but I’ll bet the picture is all many of you will need! click here.

One more reminder that in order to be entered in the drawing for prizes at our holiday party you need to comment on the blog entries. How about if I make it easy and ask a question. You could just post your answer. So here’s today’s question:

When you settle in for a session of piecing or quilting, what do you like to listen to?

I like soft rock or right now Christmas carols.

  2. Rebecca says:

Music, definitely music, not the tv. My Ipod is loaded with all kinds of music, so frequently
I go there. If, not, it is the jazz station from Canada, or now, Christmas music.

I like Christmas music, it takes me back to happy times

  4. Sylvia Siegel says:

I always listen to a book on my phone. I use the Libby app through the Buffalo and Erie County Library. My favorite books are mystery books.

  5. Betty says:

CNN. I know it’s crazy but that’s what I listen to.

  6. Pat McDonald says:

I listen to Jazz on Music Choice….

  7. JoAnn Castiglia says:

Through Amazon Music, I’ve downloaded free music to my phone. When I’m in my sewing room, I listen to Christian music. Very uplifting in these chaotic days.

  8. Jackie Groszkowski says:

I stream SiriusXM radio and listen to either Classic Radio (which is all old radio shows from the 40s and50s) or On Broadway (which is all Broadway show tunes).
