February 27, 2020Hello all, Mary Ellen here.
Thanks to all of you who have written comments lately. I like knowing that people are reading the posts. Please continue!
What project are you currently working on? I’ll bet many of you are heading toward quilt shows, finishing up projects to be hung in the show.
I’m working on a bargello style table runner which uses some adorable fabric of chickadees (my favorite garden bird). I used the new XL Stripology ruler and Gudrn Erla’s new mat. Love my stripology rulers. I’m just finishing layering it up in preparation for quilting. Now to decide how I want to quilt it. Free motion? Walking foot? What design? Gotta get started on the quilting tomorrow so decisions must be made.
What’s under your needle? Do tell!

As luck would have it my twin grandsons are graduating from high school this year. I’ve been waiting to see where they are going to college before I start their graduation quilts. Now that they’ve decided I’m busy working on their quilts. The quilt show will have to be satisfied with what I’ve already finished
I am longarming other ladies’ quilts mostly for quilt shows. Guess I will have no entries in my name.😂😂
I’m busy trying to work on my unfinished projects. I’m adding borders to two twin-sized quilts from the Stripology book. Then they need to be quilted.
I have just finished a Baby Quilt for a friend of my Daughters.
I’m exhausted just reading these commnts! The quilt I wanted to do for the show is still sitting in the box I put it in to take to Needle in a Haystack and never took it with me! I haven’t seen any stripolofy quilts done, and am anxious to see them. Another project? We’ll see!
I’m working on a patriotic quilt for a silent auction benefit for St Luke’s Mission in May. Maybe it will be finished in time for the quilt show?
I am working on some small projects. I just finished making an Aunties Two cork box and just looking for some pretty buttons to finish it up. Currently I am working on a spring wall hanging with applique.
Just finished a peacock themed quilt for my dear Apoorva, my adopted daughter from India. Came to Atlanta to give it to her and she loves it. Makes me happy to give a quilt filled with love in each stitch. Thanks for the blog posts, Mary Ellen.
