birthday presents

Hello everybody, Mary Ellen here. It’s been a long time hasn’t it? Let’s get back to it! We have our guild birthday party coming up in March and I have some “presents” to give away. Each time you submit a comment, from this post forward until the day of our party, you will be entered in a random drawing for one of the prizes. I’ll give you prompts for the comments sometimes, and other times they will be open ended.

Here’s the prompt for today: Other than your rotary cutter, cutting mat, and fabric what tool or supply is a must have for your quilting?

Do you have any special quilted pieces that you get out for the month of February–maybe it would be a Valentine piece, may just features the colors red and/or pink, or maybe it’s just a cute wintery snowman holding a heart? If you have something how about bringing it for show and share this month. Don’t forget that this month’s early bird special will be at 6:15 before the guild meeting in a new location. We’ll be in the smaller “half” of the main room. Hoping to see you there.

So…that’s it from me, how about a comment from you?

The new tool that I love are Magic Pins. They are available from Missouri Star. I love them because you can iron right over them. They have a flat blue head. Think about how many times you pin something and want to iron over it. I used them on a clamshell wall hanging that needed to be pinned and pressed before quilting.

I have several Valentine’s Day wall hangings that I put up and then two small table runners that I put on my table and island. They were all preprinted from a panel.
